The project was developed from 2007 to 2013 with the name “No to poverty, Yes to working women”. Microcredits were granted to women who had presented a duly documented business project (small businesses or trades). This project eased their difficult social situation while enhancing their autonomy and economic independence.
The microcredits (approximately of 300 €) were granted with advantageous conditions, due to the low interest rate (CPI of the country) and to the possibility of repaying them in three years with the chance of extending the term. The microcredits were rotatory. This means that when a woman reimburses the total, another can be granted. A total of 70 microcredits were granted, 10 of them by rotation.
