VITAMUNDI has started this year in Guatemala the construction and maintenance of school cultivation orchard in Escuela Pública Rural Mixta de Bolonco, for supplying adequate food to the students. The opportunity to grow own vegetables will benefit school children by involving them in their self-supply and responsible consumption, as well as improving the conditions of access to a balanced diet.
In the first phase of the Project, the adjoining school grounds will be adapted to plant various vegetables(lettuce,tomatoes,cucumbers,radishes,coriander,…) and later,in a second phase, we want to build a pool of fish farm, or a hen house to supplement the diet with protein of animal origin.
